The report will also cover operational, managerial, and legislative issues related to recent developments along with the current image of the hospitality industry. Finally, the report will demonstrate justified predictions for potential trends and developments in hospitality and the impact of trends and development.

TASK 1

1.1 Analyse The Current Scale, Scope, And Diversity Of The Hospitality Industry

The hospitality industry offers a broad range of services. This industry focuses on satisfying customers' requirements. It provides specific services to customers. People use these services when they have free time and money. The hospitality industry offers employment opportunities to people living in remote areas. Customers have different tastes and preferences in order to satisfy them they offer different packages. Industry employs more number of people to make their work more manageable. They offer services like food beverages, events, catering, restaurants, etc. The hospitality industry links with different industries to satisfy customers' requirements. The UK hospitality industry has a wide scope. It focuses on providing unique experiences to its customers. People spend their money and time to plan a vacation and holiday. The hospitality industry is a very profitable industry (Jauhari and Bharwani, 2017). This industry has the largest workforce size. They hire skilled employees to satisfy the specific demands of customers. The hospitality industry is among the fastest-growing industries. There are various types of diversity in this industry.

To perform every function of the hotel, they hire employees. It is important to assign the right job to the right people. Managers adopt the strategic selection technique, which refers to selecting individuals on the basis of their skills and potential. It is very important to maintain a balance between skills and job. The selection process is planned and calculative. Managers shot list candidates and select them on the basis of their talent (Neirotti, Raguseo, and Paolucci, 2016). The selection process is a very complicated and expensive process. Effective selection of staff helps in increasing the profitability of the hotel. HR matches people's efficiency with the job. They lay down the process of selection and recruitment.
